Vice President Nomination

Thank you for your interest in serving our community. The Vice President plays a critical role in supporting the Board and helping ensure the continued stability, transparency, and progress of Oak Leaf.

Position Overview | The Vice President serves as a member of the HOA Board of Directors and works closely with the President and other board members to support governance, operations, and community initiatives. This role is essential in maintaining continuity, assisting with oversight, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when needed.

Eligibility Requirements | In alignment with Texas Property Code Chapter 209 and standard HOA governance practices across the state of Texas, all board members, including the Vice President, must be in good standing with the Association.

Good standing is defined as:

  • Current on HOA dues or on an approved payment plan

  • No known or unresolved violations of community guidelines

  • Willingness to comply with governing documents and fiduciary responsibilities

These expectations reflect the Board’s obligation to act in the best interest of the Association and maintain fairness, consistency, and credibility in decision-making.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the President in executing board priorities and community initiatives

  • Participate in board meetings and contribute to decision-making

  • Assist with oversight of HOA operations, finances, and compliance

  • Step in for the President when necessary to ensure continuity of leadership

  • Uphold fiduciary responsibilities, including acting in the best interest of the community

Additional Responsibilities (Preferred)

The previous Vice President also supported key operational functions. The Board would strongly prefer a candidate willing to take on one or more of the following:

  • Updating and maintaining the HOA website

  • Preparing and distributing monthly newsletters

  • Managing the community communication portal on a weekly basis

Nomination & Election Timeline

  • Nomination Deadline: May 22

  • Qualified Candidates Announced: May 25

  • Voting Period: May 26 – June 5

  • Quorum Requirement: Minimum participation of 20 households
